Keeping you informed
Proud Sponsors of the Eye care segment on RTE’s Today show
TheaPamex is delighted to sponsor the eye care segment on RTE’s TODAY on Wednesday 23rd September from 3.30pm. Daithi and Maura will be catching up with Dr. Nikolina Budimlija, Consultant Ophthalmologist, Ocular Surface and Chronic Eye Disease Specialist, to talk about all things eye health and the importance of eye care in our daily routine.
Ms Nikolina Budimlija graduated from the School of Medicine, University of Zagreb, Croatia and later trained in Ophthalmic surgery. Nikolina brings more than 13 years of ophthalmic experience but she also gained a Masters in Health Management.
With a special interest in ocular surface disorders, Ms Budimlija is running only dedicated Ocular Surface Clinic in Ireland at Institute of Eye Surgery, UPMC Whitfield and Kildare.
At TheaPamex, we believe our eyesight is the most important of our senses. The eyes are the body’s most highly developed sensory organs. A far larger part of the brain is dedicated to vision than to hearing, taste, touch, or smell combined.
Eye care is easily overlooked until an eye condition occurs. We wish to raise awareness about how important eye health is and how looking after our eyes better, daily, can help to prevent a variety of eye conditions, including:
- Blepharitis (link here to Blepharitis page)
- Dry Eyes
- Age Related Macular Degeneration
- Ocular Allergies
At TheaPamex, we are dedicated to creating lasting quality and value, for both customers and consumers, and staying close to their needs with integrity, truth, and dignity.
In our uncompromising approach to developing the best eye care solutions, that will not damage or irritate eyes, we wish to share with you all, our wealth of knowledge we have gained from 150 years of experience in ophthalmology.
We are so proud to be associated with the show and look forward to supporting and promoting expertise in the eyecare industry into the future.
Stay Safe everyone!

TheaPamex wins Best Eye Care Awards for Blephaclean
Blephaclean won the Best Eye Care Award at the IPN’s OTC and Retail Pharmacy Awards ceremony which was held in the Radisson Blu Athlone on March 7th 2019.
Eyesight is one of our most valuable senses and yet we often take its importance for granted. How often do we take time to care for our eyes? Often the eye care category is overlooked and can be hidden low behind the pharmacy counter. Good eye health starts with daily lid care.
Blephaclean is a preservative free medical device scientifically proven to relieve the symptoms of blepharitis which is one of the leading causes of dry eye.
Blephaclean wipes are impregnated with an aqueous Micelle solution to gently absorb debris and impurities, Sodium Hyaluronate a natural moisturiser, Centella Asiatica a natural restorative agent for the skin and Iris Florentina which helps to regulate the oil production on the eyelids.
Blephaclean is part of a family of eyelid cleansing products which includes:
- Blephasol Gentle Eyelid Cleansing lotion
- Blephagel Gentle Eyelid Cleansing Gel
The range is free from preservatives, perfumes and soaps meaning there is no need to rinse after use and can be used on the most sensitive skin.
Blephaclean can even be used on babies as young as 3 months.
“We here at TheaPamex are delighted that Blephaclean has won the Best Eye Care Product award and would like to congratulate the IPN on another successful OTC and Retail Pharmacy Product Awards this year!
It truly is a great opportunity to recognize the leading products within the OTC category.” Diarmuid Gavin, Country Manager TheaPamex Ltd.
